Serial Talking

cc_customs_edinboro-tartan.png

Last week, CreditCovers inventor and CEO Anthony David Adams received the Great Scott Award from Edinboro University in Pennsylvania. He received the award after speaking to a packed house of business students and others with entrepreneurial ambitions.

Edinboro University is the first major institution to order custom CreditCovers.

On Nov. 1, Adams will take part in panel discussion with other Wisconsin entrepreneurs at Northland College, sponsored by the Wisconsin Innovation Network. The panel discussion will center on using Internet-based business models.

And, if something seems different, the CreditCovers website has undergone some changes aimed to make it easier for you to navigate, with more changes underway.

Keep the CreditCovers revolution alive! Tell your friends, family and co-workers about our Series #2 line. With the holiday season just around the corner, CreditCovers make excellent stocking stuffers or holiday card inserts.

CreditCovers Series #2 Now Available!

cc_s2-013_bloodsuckers.png

The wait is over. CreditCovers Series #2 are now available for pre-order, with 15 new designs by renown artists like Todd Francis, Mathew Langille and Jessica Lansdown. All CreditCovers in the wildly popular Series #1 are still available.

And the pre-orders have begun pouring in. “We’ve received several hundred already,” says Anthony David Adams, CreditCovers inventor and CEO. “People have been waiting a while for these, but they’re finally here.”

CreditCovers are cool skins easily slapped on credit, debit and ATM cards, customizing them with personal flare. If you get bored with one: You can peel it off easily and replace it with a new one.

Even the artists are stoked. Allured by the subversive nature of the credit skins, ELEMENT skateboard designer Todd Francis signed on to the CreditCover revolution. “Commandeering the space on your plastic for your own means is just great,” says Francis. “Being given a blank canvas to spew all sorts of negative crap, how could I resist?”

Francis’s design, from a distance, appears to be a Federal Government logo. But upon closer inspection it reads: Bloodsucking Financial Institution.

Marc by Marc Jacobs designer Mathew Langille read about CreditCovers in New York Times magazine last spring and wanted a piece of the action as well. One, called “Hearts and Bones,” is a play on the Skull and Crossbones, a design Langille laments.

I made it not only to poke fun at all those designers that make Skull and Crossbone designs, but to also joke about how precious money is and how easily credit cards can take that money away,” says Langille, who designed three of the 15 new designs.

Though Series #2 just became available, Francis is already looking ahead to Series #3 and beyond. “I’m looking forward to doing a serialized series of graphics for CreditCovers, releasing a few a year, because these things are fun as hell to work on,” he says.

CreditCovers, LLC was founded in January 2007 by serial entrepreneur Anthony David Adams and Bowen Dwelle, founder and CEO of Admonsters, the world’s leading online ad operations association.
