Hilton’s Jail Stay Helps Environment!
As part of it’s commitment to sustainability and the U.S. justice system, CreditCovers is planning to buy offset credits for all of the energy being used to house Paris Hilton during her stay in the L.A. County Jail.
CreditCovers inventor Anthony David Adams says,”We will work closely with our friends at CarbonFund.org to determine how much carbon she is offsetting.”
Hilton was sentenced last month to 45-days in jail after twice violating her probation on alcohol-related reckless driving charges. She was released after serving four days, but ordered back to jail a day later. “A lot of energy is required to incarcerate people,” says Adams. “As a company that produces a carbon-neutral product, we thought this was a great opportunity to take it a step further.”
Adams, 26, hopes this approach will inspire other companies to develop creative ways to help offset climate change. “There are countless ways we can help the environment,” he says. “It’s just matter of how imaginative we want to be.”
A free sample pack of CreditCovers is being shipped to the L.A. County Jail, in the care of Paris Hilton.

Paris Hilton, obviously distressed about the carbon dioxide that will enter the atmosphere as a result of her stay in jail.

Seriously. Everytime I use my debit card it is like a commercial for credit covers… usually goes something like this: (I hand my card to the cashier. Cashier pauses with confused look on his/her face, swipes my card and says…) Cashier: “Is this some sort of protector for your card?” Me: “Its actually a CreditCover. My friend’s brother has this company and they created skins for your credit cards. There are so lots of cool designs, and more on the way. Check it out at creditcovers.com!” (Big toothy smile, thumbs-up) Cashier: Wow. That’s so cool.
And, yes, it does play out that lame in real-life. Congrats!
Had to share this with everyone, sent from NYC’s famous actress Kalynn Dodge… And Kalynn, I’d like to consider us friends

Last month we had a chance to work with the creative genius of Scholar & Dutch. We teamed for the first official CreditCovers photo shoot, which was HOT! The combination of Scholar & Dutch, and our super dope CreditCovers Girls was almost too much to handle. Keep your eyes peeled for ads featuring the photos from this shoot. Here’s some eye candy…

I was down at Ad:Tech this morning talking with MySpace and noticing how many companies have suddenly transformed themselves into online advertising “marketplaces” or “exchanges”, and I ran into a local SF celeb: Justin.TV himself! Needless to say, we hit Justin with the CreditCovers on the spot, and hooked him up with a few samples to pass along.

I’ve been trying to find the clip in his archives, but it’s a little tricky. I snapped the above pic about 12:08pm today (April 26, 2007). Here’s the deal - whoever is first to send us the link from his archives to the clip of me hitting him up gets a three free CreditCovers! Just cruise thru the Justin.TV archives, find the spot, and mail us the link. Hit it!

CreditCovers artist Food One will be at the APE show this week in San Fransisco, CA. He’ll have a limited number of CreditCovers for distribution. Food One is so cool, when I gave our patent attorney a sample Mizz Lady Pink he said “Isn’t this Jim Mahfood, that comic book artist?”. Rad. So, if you’re on the left coast this weekend, check out Food One and APE, and if you’re on the right coast, be sure to hit up the Lit Lounge. Of course, if you’ve got private jet time, you might be able to hit up both.
CreditCovers is about to f*ck your heads up. We’ve locked down the Lit Lounge on Manhattan’s lower east side, Friday April 20th to cover the cards of NYC’s sexiest… Join us for a night of debauchery, punk rock, freebies, and the hottest people of whichever genders light your fire. COME GET COVERED!
